Charleston Wall

Judy & I walked historic old Charleston for 2 days gathering many images. I love the rich patina and colouring of this more than 200 year old fence which was typical prior to 1820. Oh, the tales it could tell.

Charleston Window

Another example of the unique architecture.

Storm Clouds

It was a wet, stormy day - a great day to get some good brooding images. Yes, there is a hint of good weather on the horizon. With the rain the saturation boost was significant as in the view right behind us.

Killarney Lighthouse

We visited this old lighthouse last October. It was raining and the lichens on the rocks were so treacherous underfoot that we only got a few shots each. This is one of those places that we should have been wearing hockey helmets. I liked the soft muted sky and the vibrant colours in the lichens.

Bee & Rhododendron

Bee & Rhododendron

We have had a rhododendron which has no business thriving in our cold climate but is now more than 30 years old. I was doing some hand held macro in order to submit a closeup to a photo contest held annually by my alma mater. I feel that this image combines macro with mildly abstract art. I think I will submit this one

Here is an image of our old faithful Rhododendron

Bird on a Horn(with apologies to Leonard Cohen)

I was fascinated by this eclectic window in a hamlet just north of Barrie Ontario. I felt it would be best presented in B&W. Initial processing was done in Lightroom followed by PS CC and then onOne.

Barn Wall Art

This colourful image is located right across the street from the image above. Both are unique in their own way.

Last September our group had a wonderful time touring  The North Shore of Lake Superior. These two images were taken at Mink Falls
