Say Ahhhhh

I  had foot surgery a week ago and was feeling well enough to hobble around a bit. I arrived at this overly decorated house shortly after school let out. This little fellow entered the scene with a long piece of sapling or tree branch. He was obviously in a world off his own as he marched along in animated way as one might expect from North Korean parade soldiers when he suddenly stopped to check this ghoul out for any signs of life. Having decided that there were none, he marched on.

Woodland Waterfall
While photographing near Bracebridge Ontario in October 2014, I was drawn to this small secluded waterfall by it's compact beauty.

Sunset Blueberries

The autumn colours of the foreground blueberries direct the viewer in to a classic Precambian Shield image that one sees along the north coast of Lake Superior.

Driftwood Beach(Garden Cove)
Eight intrepid photographers, all CAPA members, travelled the 10-11 hours from North Bay, Ontario to the top of Lake Superior, the largest fresh water lake in the world. We were not disappointed. The weather was perfect - wonderful clouds, no rain and temperatures that hovered around 16- 23 degrees Celsius(65-73 deg F.) We all came home 6 days latter with tans, great images and big grins. This is what CAPA(Canadian Association for Photographic Art) is all about.
Penn Lake Fall Splendor

Our friend Doug, who has a lot of local knowledge, suggested that we visit this small park within the town limits of Marathon, Ontario.

Autumn colours were certainly at their peak.

Garden Cove Morning

Another magnificent warm September morning near Marathon, Ontario. Very soft morning light really brought the foreground rocks to life.

PUKASKWA SUNSET ONTARIO

This is my first image as a blogger. Taken on a beautiful September evening at South Trailhead in Pukaskwa National Park.

I enjoyed the sense of motion in the waving grass.
